There is a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as showers at the main harbour. They are on the ground floor in building nearest the fishing boats. Enter at the end closest to the car park. The washing machine and tumble dryer cost £5 each. The shower is £1 for around 5 minutes. Pound coins are needed.
WINTER ADVICE
The Stopover is located on an open pier. Although most days are fine, sometimes we have gales. If high winds are combined with high tides, it is possible for the water to wash onto the pier. Please use common sense where the weather is concerned. Our site is not supervised. During a gale, you may want to go elsewhere or park parallel to the rear embankment.

Dawne Noble, a recent visitor to Loch Clash, painted the view on a piece of slate she found on the beach there. We feel that it really captures the feel of the site and Dawne has kindly allowed us to use this image.

We received a lovely email (via this website) from Tony and Sue Rochester who recently stayed at the Loch Clash Stopover camper van site.
“I would like to thank the Community Company for their real foresight in developing Loch Clash as an aire for motorhomes. We travel throughout Europe in our motorhome where this type of facility is commonly found and always comment that it is a pity that we are never made to feel as welcome when travelling in the U.K.
We are currently sitting in our van at Loch Clash and cannot think of a better place to be. Rest assured that we will try to put as much money into the local economy as we can while we are here as we really appreciate what you have done.“Thanks to all involved.”‘
