Loch Clash Stopover

IMPORTANT NEWS

Effective immediately we can no longer allow overnight parking on the pier outside the 5 serviced spaces. This is by order of Highland Council. It follows a complaint sent to the Council. Hopefully the situation will be resolved as soon as possible.

WEATHER ADVICE

The Stopover is located on an open pier.  Although most days are fine, sometimes we have gales.  If high winds are combined with high tides, it is possible for the water to wash onto the pier.  We may also get very high winds. Please use common sense where the weather is concerned.  Our site is not supervised and it is exposed to the sea.  During a gale, you may want to go elsewhere or park parallel to the rear embankment. Tent boxes not recommended during storms.

Please register at the SPAR shop and obtain a windscreen ticket.   We offer 5 serviced sites (waste disposal, fresh water, EHU) as well as some overnight parking only (waste disposal and fresh water).  If the shop is closed, please pay via the mail slot.

Please note:  We are not able to take bookings; it is first come, first served.  Also, we cannot accommodate tents as we are located on a tarred pier.

All revenue is used to support community projects.

Prices

Serviced site – £15 (include electricity, water and waste)   We have 5 serviced pitches.

We no longer allow overnight parking on the rest of the pier.  Hopefully, this situation will be temporary.

There are 24/7 public toilets located at the main harbour near the Quay House restaurant.  Across the road in the Fish Market building (next to wear the boats land their catch), there is a washer and tumble dryer as well as a shower.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer as well as showers at the main harbour.  They are on the ground floor in building nearest the fishing boats.  Enter at the end closest to the car park.  The washing machine and tumble dryer cost £5 each.  The shower is £1 for around 5 minutes.  Pound coins are needed.

Dawne Noble, a recent visitor to Loch Clash, painted the view on a piece of slate she found on the beach there.  We feel that it really captures the feel of the site and Dawne has kindly allowed us to use this image.

We received a lovely email (via this website) from Tony and Sue Rochester who recently stayed at the Loch Clash Stopover camper van site.
